Salary:
Payroll: (20,000 MXN - 25,000 MXN)
Direct: (25,000 MXN - 31,000 MXN)
*To be fully determined based on experience and hiring modality. No commissions, nor variable payment structures.
About the Role
Our client is a successful hospitality and entertainment business with multiple revenue streams (ticket sales, food operations, and attractions). We're looking for a Bookkeeper who can confidently manage complex, high-volume financial activity and provide clear, actionable financial insight to ownership.
This is not a data-entry role. You'll work directly with the owner in a fast-paced environment where accuracy, judgment, and communication are essential.
What You'll Be Responsible For
- Owning day-to-day bookkeeping in QuickBooks Online (Enterprise preferred)
- Managing high-volume transactions across multiple revenue streams and shared bank accounts
- Performing general ledger accounting, journal entries, and double-entry bookkeeping
- Completing bank, balance sheet, and account reconciliations with minimal oversight
- Managing AP, AR, and payroll
- Supporting monthly reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis
- Identifying issues, trends, and inconsistencies — and speaking up about them
- Maintaining clean documentation for audits and compliance
- Working within existing systems to clean up, organize, and improve accuracy
- Ensure compliance with governmental accounting regulations and standards for non-profit or corporate entities
Required Experience & Skills
- Bachelor's degree (required)
- 3+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience (high-volume environments strongly preferred)
- Strong, independent QuickBooks experience
- Deep understanding of: GAAP
- General ledger accounting
- Debits & credits
- Journal entries
- Account and balance sheet reconciliation
- Proven experience with AP, AR, payroll, and bank reconciliations
- Comfortable supporting a 7-figure business
Strongly Preferred
- Hospitality, restaurant, entertainment, or ticketing industry experience
- Experience working with multiple revenue streams or multiple entities
- Prior involvement in cleanup or corrective bookkeeping
- Advisory or analytical accounting mindset
- Non-profit/Funding Budget accounting exposure (is a plus)
