Job Summary
The Accounting & Reporting Analyst will be responsible for general accounting and financial reporting activities, including General Ledger analysis and month-end closing for entities of low to medium complexity. This role will support bank reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations, local financial statements, and tax-related processes (including full VAT process for Mexico). The position requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including the shared service center in Mumbai, logistics, and local finance teams, to ensure accurate and timely financial information.

The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented accountant, eager to learn, with strong teamwork and communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with quick turnaround requirements.

Responsibilities
Month-End Close & Reporting

  • Perform month-end close activities for entities of low to medium complexity.
  • Prepare and review General Ledger analysis to support accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare ad hoc analyses to support month-end closing (e.g., Other Income and Expenses, revaluation, and NVO).
  • Prepare local financial statements for low-complexity entities, primarily in Mexico.
  • Prepare and/or support CFN reporting and other corporate reporting requirements.

Reconciliations & Accounting Processes

  • Perform and/or review bank reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of differences.
  • Coordinate with the Mumbai team responsible for bank reconciliations, ensuring quality and completeness of their work.
  • Review intercompany reconciliations and follow up on discrepancies with relevant stakeholders.
  • Manage the end-to-end VAT process for Mexico, ensuring compliance with local regulations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Support

  • Work closely with logistics, shared service centers, and local finance teams to resolve accounting issues and support operational needs.
  • Present monthly closing reports to subsidiaries and provide explanations as needed.
  • Support the preparation and review of financial statements for Mexico, particularly for real estate entities.
  • Participate in special projects and initiatives (e.g., customs/pedimentos projects and other process improvement activities).

Continuous Improvement & Teamwork

  • Actively contribute to process improvements and efficiency initiatives in accounting and reporting.
  • Demonstrate strong teamwork, communication, and willingness to support colleagues across different locations and time zones.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting (Contaduría Pública).
  • 1–2 years of experience in general accounting, taxes and budget and planning.
  • Experience with SAP.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, basic analyses, data handling).
  • Intermediate to advanced level of English.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience working with DOMO or other business intelligence / reporting tools.
  • Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides, Drive).
  • Good communication skills and willingness to collaborate with cross-functional and international teams.
  • High sense of responsibility, ownership, and accountability.
