Detailed Description Of The Project
Project Objective:
Support Cemex´s third-party dude diligence processes and provide general compliance support

Challenges For The Student

  • Navigating complex regulatory frameworks: intern will need to understand and apply laws, regulations, and internal policies related to anti-corruption, AML, among other topics.
  • Managing multiple stakeholders and priorities: the intern will need to handle third-party onboarding, due diligence, and remediation measures, which often involve coordinating with different departments and external partners and working with deadlines.

Main Responsibilities And Activities To Be Carried Out

  • Manage the full lifecycle of Cemex´s third-party relationships, including onboarding, review, and ongoing monitoring of vendors and business partners.
  • Support due diligence processes and assessments for all categories of third parties.
  • Conduct risk analysis, provide recommendations, and coordinate the implementation and follow-up of remediation measures to mitigate third-party risks.
  • Provide general compliance support, including analysis of laws and regulatory reforms, corporate governance best practices, and regulations related to anti-money laundering, anti-corruption, and similar compliance areas.
