SCOPE OF POSITION: 

Interprets product requirements from takeoffs, specifications and verbal/written requests to create sales quotations. Prepares informational price quotations. Corresponds with field representatives, architects, subcontractors/contractors and internal personnel in preparation of sales quotations in an office environment.

• Interprets customer requirements and prepares and revises takeoffs and quotations based upon customer product requirements from architectural drawings and verbal or written emails and specifications.
• Corresponds and contacts sales reps to obtain missing info, recommends change or substitution to improve cost, delivery, or product.
• Interacts with sales reps and internal personnel to provide accurate bidding.
• Assists in providing details for order entry, drafting, production and layout of orders received.
• Works from emails, takeoffs, drawings, bid forms, verbal and written requests to prepare quotes.
• Provides technical product support to designers and customers as related to the quotes.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management
• Reports directly to the department supervisor.

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/
EDUCATION: (Minimum Education and/or Experience required)

• High
  School diploma or equivalent
• Construction
  industry knowledge and computer literacy is a plus.   
• Ability
  to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in
  situations where only limited standardization exists. 
• Ability
  to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or
  schedule form.
• Communication skills necessary to work
  effectively with both internal and external customers
• Detail-oriented
• Proficient
  in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
• Knowledge
  of CRM/Salesforce a plus
