Role Overview

We're seeking an experienced Quality Engineer specializing in Automation and AI Tooling to join our growing QA team in LATAM.

In this role, you'll lead efforts to expand test capacity by evaluating, piloting, and implementing AI-assisted QA tools. You'll take ownership from proof-of-concept through pilot and operational handoff, while building scalable automation frameworks and championing modern QA practices.

Responsibilities

• AI-Assisted QA Innovation: Evaluate, select, and pilot an AI-enabled QA automation tool (e.g., model-based testing, LLM-assisted test generation, visual diffing, or self-healing locators).
• Automation Development: Design, implement, and maintain UI and API test automation frameworks using modern languages such as Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
• Tool Implementation: Own the full lifecycle of a new QA tool — from proof-of-concept to pilot deployment and team adoption.
• Continuous Integration: Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI) to support rapid and reliable releases.
• Test Strategy & Frameworks: Define testing strategies that balance speed, coverage, and stability across projects.
• Results Reporting: Build reporting dashboards and quality metrics that provide visibility into coverage, performance, and release readiness.
• Collaboration: Partner with developers, product managers, and UX teams to ensure automation aligns with user flows and business priorities.
• Evangelism & Enablement: Advocate for AI-assisted testing adoption, training QA peers, and sharing best practices across the organization.
• Continuous Improvement: Analyze testing processes, identify gaps, and introduce automation or tooling improvements to increase efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in QA automation (UI and API), including framework design and CI pipeline integration.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted testing tools (e.g., model-based testing, visual diffing, self-healing locators, or LLM-assisted test generation).
• Strong scripting and automation experience in Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
• Proven ability to evaluate, implement, and operate new QA tooling from POC through production rollout.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, test orchestration, and reporting.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and cross-team collaboration skills.
• Self-starter with a proactive mindset and the ability to balance innovation with delivery.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AI/ML testing platforms such as Testim, Mabl, Functionize, or Virtuoso.
• Familiarity with Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.
• Experience testing in .NET or modern web application environments.
• Knowledge of API testing (REST, GraphQL) and Postman or similar tools.
• Exposure to cloud-based test execution (e.g., BrowserStack, Sauce Labs).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.

Our interview process is designed to move efficiently while ensuring transparency and alignment:

1. Introductory Call – 15 minutes

A brief conversation with our recruiting team to discuss your background, QA experience, and overall fit for the role.

2. On-Demand HireVue Screening – 15–30 minutes

Behavioral and situational questions focused on ownership, communication, testing mindset, and how you approach quality in fast-moving environments.

3. Internal Technical Interview #1 – 1 hour

A deep technical discussion covering UI/API automation, test architecture, framework design, CI integration, scripting fundamentals, and debugging approaches.

4. Internal Technical Interview #2 – 1 hour

Scenario-based problem solving focused on AI-assisted QA tooling, evaluation criteria, POC/pilot planning, self-healing automation strategies, and test scalability.

5. Hiring Manager Interview – 30 minutes

A conversation about your experience, collaboration style, leadership qualities, and how you drive quality practices across teams.

6. Client Interview – 1 hour

A final discussion with client stakeholders to validate technical alignment, communication style, and ability to support QA automation and AI-driven testing initiatives.
