Schedule Availability: Between 25-30 hours per week

Project Objective: Collaborate on the development of projects by performing tasks and activities in the Global Laboratory.

Challenges for the Student:

  • Work effectively in a cement laboratory environment (manual operation, extended periods standing) and perform office tasks related to report preparation and presentations.

  • Conduct chemical and physical analysis.

Main responsibilities and activities to be carried out:

  • Perform tasks involving research on technological development using digital search tools, databases, and related resources.

  • Prepare technology-monitoring reports.

  • Carry out sample testing and analysis in the cement laboratory.

  • Support inventory-related activities.

  • Assist with maintenance planning activities, as well as equipment calibration and verification.

Specific Requirements/ Qualifications:

  • Ability to synthesize and organize data, and prepare clear presentations.
  • Laboratory experience, including chemical analysis and physical tests involving mechanical effort (handling loads of approx kg)
  • Strong attention to detail- chemical analyses are highly sensitive to variations.
  • Independence and initiative: ability to learn and perform chemical and physical laboratory tests without supervision.
  • Act responsibly and in accordance with Cemex Health and Safety guidelines.
  • Computer skills: MS Office and digital design tools.
