Buyer

Job Description
The Buyer is responsible for purchasing goods, equipment or services from suppliers on behalf of our company. The buyer must develop and implement purchasing strategies focused on cost reduction and ensuring customer satisfaction, with the best quality products and on time deliveries, maintaining the highest integrity and ethical standards in its performance. The buyer will also develop long-term business relationships with suppliers to provide the best solutions for the Company.

Responsabilities

• Purchase of international commodities, supplies, and contracting services.
• Execute the Purchasing activities in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and company policies and procedures.
• Foster business relationships with suppliers to provide the best solutions for the Company in terms of quality, cost and service.
• Review and manage purchase requisitions, quotations, contracts, and agreements.
• Coordinate necessary actions with other departments to ensure timely delivery of materials with sense of urgency.
• Track the status of orders, follow up on deliveries, and resolve any issues.
• Maintain updated procurement records, including supplier/lead time and product information.
• Deviation Request submittal due to delivery/BOM error/Inventory adjustments.
• Workflow processing and completion – 30 days from receipt.
• Follow up Plant Shortage reports updates weekly-resolution added.
• Seek to achieve KPI – Goals and objectives assigned annually, including quarterly monitoring and create action plan if needed.

Required:

• Bachelor´s degree in administrative / business / trade area
• 5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement roles
• Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office (Excel & Word).
• Strong negotiation, problem solving, teamwork and communication skills.
• Customer service oriented.
• Proficient English level B2 for business communication

Preferred:

• Associate degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field.
• Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CPSM, CPP).
• Market knowledge and supplier´s development.
