ABOUT THE ROLE

As an Automation Controls Engineer, you will play an influential part in the development and deployment of software components that help realize Bright Machines vision of Software Defined Manufacturing.

You will create scalable software systems that drive our cloud-based performance monitoring, KPI dashboards, and command/control systems on the factory floor

We have a passion for bringing together cross functional teams to creatively solve problems. We value working closely with different groups throughout project lifecycles and believe that creating and validating user requirements at the system and sub system level is essential for success.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
  • Develop APIs compatibles with Physical devices for automation
  • Write new features in different platforms to improve capabilities and help Software Team
  • Write basic linux bash scripting to automate software installation
  • Create containers according to project or software needs to facilitate his job
  • Write intermediate level of recipes (Bright Machines Platform)
  • Debug our Bright Machine platform to solve bugs and write new code
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
  • 5+ years of experience
  • Intermediate linux knowledge
  • Intermediate c#
  • Advanced Python
  • Advanced Javascript
  • Intermediate knowledge on framework usage such as React, Angular, FastAPI or similar
  • Intermediate knowledge on containers (Docker) and Kubernetes (Microk8s)
  • Intermediate knowledge in SQL databases such as MSSQL, MySQL, Postgres
