YOUR TASKS
FORVIA HELLA is seeking a skilled Software Engineer to contribute to the development of software for our next-generation Power Distribution Unit (PDU). This role supports the success of our intelligent Power Distribution Module (iPDM) programs, which feature eFuse technology, fail-operational power supply, and zone-based architectures.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in the design, development, and testing of embedded software for PDU systems across the product lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain real-time embedded software using C for microcontrollers (16/32-bit).
• Support model-based development using tools like MATLAB/Simulink and dSPACE TargetLink.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate eFuse technology and ensure robust power management.
• Assist in software architecture design, code reviews, and unit testing.
• Analyze system requirements and translate them into software specifications.
• Support diagnostics, data acquisition, and fail-operational mechanisms for safety-critical functions.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including hardware, systems, and validation engineers.
• Configure and integrate AUTOSAR Basic Software (BSW) modules (e.g., communication, memory, diagnostic stacks).
• Adapt and validate Runtime Environment (RTE) and ensure proper interaction between application software and BSW.
• Perform integration testing and resolve interface issues between application layers and AUTOSAR components.

Your Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in embedded software development, preferably in the automotive domain.
• Proficiency in C, with experience in real-time systems, AUTOSAR, and embedded toolchains.
• Hands-on experience with AUTOSAR configuration tools (e.g., Vector DaVinci Configurator/Developer).
• Experience with CANoe, CANalyzer, and other automotive communication tools.
• Familiarity with eFuse technology, power distribution systems, and zone controllers is a plus.
• Knowledge of functional safety and software validation practices.
• Knowledge of AGILE software development methodologies.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for embedded systems.
• Familiarity with version control and collaboration tools such as GitLab.
• Ability to work in a structured development environment with continuous integration and automated testing.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Fluent in English.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to software-defined vehicle architectures and zonal E/E systems.
• Basic understanding of ASIC integration, thermal management, and power integrity.
• Scripting skills (Python or CAPL) for automation.
