Tasks And Qualifications
This is what you will do in this role:
To lead and manage a team of Mechanical Engineers focused on executing and maintaining high-quality engineering changes, mechanical designs, and drawing corrections while supporting operations, product sustaining activities, and cross-functional collaboration across a global organization.

  • Lead and prioritize the execution of engineering changes (ECRs/ECOs) and drawing corrections.
  • Oversee the accuracy and integrity of 3D models and mechanical drawings.
  • Support sustaining activities by addressing product issues from manufacturing, quality, and field operations.
  • Guide the design and development of mechanical and mechatronic components (machined, sheet metal, plastic, extruded).
  • Conduct and participate in design reviews and technical validations.
  • Drive process improvements to increase engineering efficiency and reduce lead times.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, quality, procurement, and global engineering teams.
  • Manage a team of mechanical engineers, assigning tasks and supporting professional development.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal engineering guidelines.
  • Report team performance metrics and support alignment with business goals and project timelines.

What We Are Looking For

  • 10+ years of experience in mechanical product development, including several complete product lifecycle cycles.
  • Proven leadership in managing engineering changes, sustaining support, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Strong background in CAD (preferably Siemens NX), drawing standards, GD&T, and engineering documentation.
  • Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in both English and Spanish.
  • Experience in Agile Product Development is a plus.
  • Ability to lead remote, global teams and work in fast-paced, multicultural environments.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% as needed.
