Job Description

The Power BI Developer is an essential team member responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models. This role collaborates cross-functionally to understand reporting needs and translate them into scalable BI solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver insights
  • Ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across reporting solutions
  • Building data pipelines and transforming raw data sources for analysis
  • Implementing row-level security, refresh schedules, and performance optimizations
  • Supporting internal teams and customers with BI-related questions and training
  • Documenting BI processes, data definitions, and report architecture
  • Contributing to BI strategy, planning, and prioritization
  • Upholding strong data governance and visualization best practices
Experience & Skills Needed
  • Strong experience with Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and DAX
  • Proven ability to develop and optimize data models
  • Solid understanding of relational databases, SQL, and data transformation workflows
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments
  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, BigQuery, Redshift)
  • Familiarity with APIs, ETL processes, or custom data integrations
  • Experience in SaaS or industry-specific operational environments (a plus, not required)
  • Background in statistical analysis or operational analytics
