Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electronic hardware for automotive ECUs, controllers, and power systems.
  • Create hardware architecture, schematics, PCB layouts, and component selection.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (software, mechanical, validation) to integrate hardware into vehicle systems.
  • Perform hardware testing, debugging, and validation using lab equipment (oscilloscope, multimeter, CAN analyzer, etc.).
  • Ensure designs meet automotive safety and compliance standards (ISO 26262, AEC-Q100, EMI/EMC).
  • Support design verification, DFMEA, PFMEA, and risk mitigation activities.
  • Collaborate with suppliers for component evaluation and manufacturing feasibility.
  • Develop test plans, documentation, and technical reports.
  • Troubleshoot hardware issues during prototype builds and vehicle testing.
  • Improve hardware design processes and contribute to continuous innovation.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field.
  • 3–8+ years of experience in automotive hardware development.
  • Strong knowledge of analog/digital circuit design, microcontrollers, power supply design, and high-speed interfaces.
  • Experience with automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet).
  • Proficiency with hardware design tools (Altium, Mentor Graphics, Cadence, OrCAD).
  • Familiarity with hardware validation and compliance testing (EMC/EMI, environmental tests).
  • Understanding of automotive standards: ISO 26262, ASPICE, AEC-Q, ISO 16750.
  • Strong problem-solving, debugging, and documentation skills
