Maintenance Coordinator in General Assembly

What You'll Do?
You will lead a team of salaried maintenance Group Leaders, overseeing the maintenance and repair of plant equipment and facilities. You'll ensure alignment with GM's standard maintenance systems, drive continuous improvement through Global Manufacturing Systems (GMS), and promote a safe, compliant, and collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily operations within the maintenance and warehousing areas.
• Ensure effective use of personnel, materials, and equipment.
• Conduct checks, test, and communicate evaluation results.
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions and recommend solutions.
• Implement divisional and corporate policies, safety, and housekeeping practices.
• Ensure compliance with local and national labor agreements.
• Collaborate frequently with teams outside the work group.
• Participate in employee selection, training, development, and evaluation.
• Establish action plans to complete jobs and projects.
• Provide technical guidance for complex plant operations or projects.
• Assist in budget and forecast development.
• Lead and execute Workplace Safety System (WSS) and GMS initiatives.

Work Appropriately
On Site: This position requires to work on site on a full-time basis

Shift Schedule: 4x3 (100% on-site work)

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree: Mechanical Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Mechatronic Engineer and all Engineering related or related experience.
• Required experience in similar position: 4 years.
• Available to change shifts (4x3).
• Advanced English proficiency
• Knowledge of PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers).
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical blueprints.
• Experience in people management

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to diagnose and resolve equipment issues.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to train and develop employees.
