Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Sourcing

  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies for key components (bearings, castings, laminations, shafts, copper, insulation, hardware, etc.).
  • Identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers to support growth and localization.
  • Lead RFQ, cost analysis, and supplier selection processes.

Supplier Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic suppliers.
  • Conduct supplier performance reviews (quality, delivery, cost, service).
  • Lead supplier negotiations, including pricing, payment terms, and long-term agreements.
  • Manage risk related to supply continuity and capacity.

Cost & Commercial Management

  • Drive year-over-year cost reduction initiatives.
  • Analyze BOM cost and support margin improvement projects.
  • Support make-vs-buy decisions and localization strategies.
  • Work closely with finance on cost tracking and forecasting.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with Engineering on design changes, supplier technical capability, and new product introduction (NPI).
  • Support Quality on supplier audits, PPAPs, corrective actions, and compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate with Production and Planning to ensure on-time material availability.
  • Support Sales and Commercial teams on customer-specific sourcing requirements.

Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure sourcing activities comply with U.S. market requirements (UL, efficiency standards, material traceability).
  • Maintain accurate supplier documentation and contracts.
  • Support audits and customer inquiries as required.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management in industrial manufacturing.
  • Experience sourcing mechanical or electrical components preferred.
  • Strong negotiation and commercial skills.
  • Experience working with ERP systems and Excel (cost models, data analysis).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Language & Communication

  • English: Advanced (must support U.S. customers and suppliers).
  • Spanish: Native or fluent.
