Job Description

Arcadis is looking to hire a Project Planner to support a large-scale data center construction project. This is an on-site field position requiring daily presence at the construction site with expertise in project scheduling, progress monitoring, and stakeholder coordination.

As a Project Planner, you will serve as the primary control point between the Client and Suppliers, implementing scheduling control tools and monitoring execution progress. You will be responsible for identifying eventual non-compliance issues, analyzing them, and developing strategic solutions. Based on the project control flowchart, you will bridge knowledge from the client with execution by suppliers, while providing critical review and planning functions to ensure project timeline adherence

Role Accountabilities

  • Develop and maintain the Project Master Schedule with an overall view of all project activities, serving as the primary control tool between client requirements and contractor execution.
  • Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) guidelines throughout the project.
  • Analyze the consistency of contractors' executive schedules against the master schedule, identifying potential conflicts and risks.
  • Consolidate and periodically update the detailed execution schedule of the project (creating a single schedule consolidated with all service providers) and clearly define the critical path.
  • Conduct follow-up meetings with suppliers to monitor progress and address scheduling issues.
  • Coordinate the interface between all contracted companies to prevent scheduling conflicts and optimize workflow.
  • Schedule and lead weekly alignment meetings to monitor project progress with contractors.
  • Generate comprehensive planned vs. actual progress reports with detailed variance analysis.
  • Request and validate Recovery Action Plans when non-compliance is identified, including strategies to mitigate delays and risks.
  • Support the Client's Project Manager in planning and cost control activities.
  • Validate physical progress for measurement purposes, ensuring accurate reporting.
  • Issue weekly reports with information aligned with the field supervisor's observations.
  • Conduct weekly project follow-up and alignment meetings with the Client's Project Manager.
  • Prepare project action lists and track completion status.
  • Monitor the progress of contracts against established milestones, analyzing impacts of contractual non-compliance.
  • Prepare and facilitate the Kick-Off Meeting (KOM) with contractors.
  • Study contractual sanctions and revisions when necessary to address non-compliance issues.
  • Review implementation measures to verify effectiveness of recovery plans.
  • Provide strategic decision-making support through impact studies and solutions analysis, as outlined in the schedule control flowchart.
