Job Summary

Nouveau is seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Junior High English Teacher to inspire students in Grades 7, 8, and 9. We are looking for an educator who excels at bridging the gap between foundational reading and advanced analytical skills, preparing students for success in high school and beyond.

We are Looking for a Teacher Who:

  • Excels in Differentiation: Can manage and motivate diverse groups of students who are developing their personal reading and writing identities.
  • Fosters Critical Thinking: Promotes active discussion, close reading, and persuasive argumentation.
  • Manages Behavior Positively: Creates a structured, engaging, and respectful classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement engaging project-based learning activities that foster both individual expression and collaborative work.
  • Track student progress meticulously and communicate effectively with parents regarding student development.
  • Actively participate in departmental meetings, curriculum mapping, and school-wide initiatives.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Required: Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven success or strong familiarity with teaching the Junior High/Middle School age group (Grades 6–9).
  • Skills: Proficiency in integrating technology (e.g., Google Classroom, educational apps)
