Technical Architect MS Dynamics

Roles and Responsibilities

• Ability to Lead offshore & Onshore development teams effectively in a diverse environment
• Own project deliverables (status reports, documentation, test plans); Take personal ownership of the success of deliverables and projects
• Adhere to industry and corporate development best practices and ensure that these are adhered to; advise customer on these best practices
• Create, review and approve technical specification / integration design documentation
• Organise, review and approve Development estimates
• Customize and configure the system according to business requirements
• Design and develop interfaces from/to Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&SCM
• Design, develop, review and test customized code Dynamics AX 2012/ Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&SCM
• Develop functional specifications and system design specifications for client engagements
• Facilitate technical workshops and weekly status meetings with clients, including the ability to drive a client to decisions
• Identify client organization's strengths and weaknesses and suggest areas of improvement
• Manage and deliver small projects independently and can work productively un-monitored
• Mentor developers and technical consultants
• Ownership of technical specification/integration design documentation and Technical Architecture Documentation
• Drive quality and consistency within the company and champion the use of the Proven Process methodology; Ensure methodology is adhered to on all projects
• Assume overall responsibility for the technical solution design and architecture including clear visibility of transition from as-is solution landscape to to-be solution landscape through delivery and ownership of solution overview diagrams
• Ability to lead the approach to methodology as well as technical capabilities; Leads technical elements of integration workshops with customers, documents requirements and designs appropriate solutions
• Mentor junior staff, sharing knowledge and experience to ensure that the team grows in experience and effectiveness
• Comfortable participating and leading pre-sales engagements from a technical perspective
• Assist in the design of software configuration and customization to meet the business process design and application requirements
• Ability to work alongside data migration lead and able to demonstrate clear approach to methodology as well as technical capabilities; Leads functional elements of data migration workshops with customers, documents requirements and designs appropriate solutions; Owns the overall configuration and gold build of the solution being implemented
• Ability to work with and guide the client and delivery team in terms of best practice for Performance of the solution
• Build relationships with the client at all levels but especially at the C-Suite level

Qualifications and Skillsets

• At least 5 end-to-end full life cycle implementations of AX or Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&SCM
• Exhibit HCLTech's Guiding Principles
• Good leadership skills: must be able to lead a team, manage timelines and priorities, and take responsibility for deliverables
• Experienced in Version control using GIT and TFVC as well as deployment and branching patterns
• Solid Microsoft platform Software or IT experience
• Extensive experience as either a developer or integration lead with AX or Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&SCM
• Expert knowledge of X++ development, SSRS development as well as Azure features and functions (Logic Apps and Power Automate), Power BI integration patterns
• Experienced in the use of Microsoft DevOps to manage project deliverables
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Feels comfortable talking with clients at all levels within an organization
• Ability to balance short-term demands while maintaining the long-term vision needed to guide a customer through the implementation process
• Experience of leading projects using all aspects of LCS
• Advanced use of Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, and Visio
• Ability to work remotely and on customer site. Regular travel expected
• Previous engagement experience with Microsoft FastTrack
• Knowledge of the Microsoft Dynamics Licensing requirements for Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&SCM
• Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Commerce and Scale Unit
• Understanding of commercial requirements and scope of a Project and the RACI requirements
• Understanding of Performance management of the solution and techniques for managing poor performance
• Understanding and experience of unified developer experience.

• Proficient/Skilled at X++ development.
• Proficient/skilled in LCS components/Release process / Pipeline design and deployment
• Proficient/Skilled at Azure Logic App Development
• Proficient/Skilled at Power Apps/DataVerse Development
• Proficient/Skilled at Power Automate Development
• Proficient/Skilled at T SQL scripting/development
• Knowledge and use of Azure functions and service bus would be desirable
• Knowledge of Synapse Link updates would be desirable
• Detailed understanding of security design principles for both D365 F&SCM and Azure components, including the mechanisms for authorisation and interaction with these components
• Detailed knowledge and experience of error management and Log Analytics / Application Insights
• Skilled at writing detailed technical documentation in a clear and concise manner
