By joining the Pumps, Cyclones and Valves (PCV) organization within FLSmidth, you are joining an extremely dynamic, exiting, rapidly growing Product Line.  Based on Sonora, you will constantly work closely with the team based in the US where we globally support the PCV installed base and work to increase such installed base.  You will get all needed support and training from manager and from peers, where you will be part of a strong team committed to maintain ang grow the installed PCV equipment in Mexico.

Your responsibilities

• Constantly visits mine sites and customers within assigned territory.
• Maintains and updates Install Base database.
• Has a technical sales focus, able to understand Pumps, Cyclones and Valves from a Mechanical, Operational and Process perspective.
• With some training, can perform pump selections, cyclone simulations and understand milling circuits, flotation circuits, tailing applications and different pumps applications.
• Can perform Cyclone, Pumps and Valve assembly, parts changeouts, rebuilds, installations, commissioning, and troubleshooting. 
• Can perform equipment inspections to identify problems and support customer with applicable solutions.
• Identifies needs in existing equipment to communicate with Sales Engineers and sell the FLS solutions, as well as new opportunities to replace competitors and install our equipment.
• Supports Sales Engineers with site visits to troubleshoot Process and Mechanical issues with our Pumps, Cyclones and Valves.
• When needed prepares professional, clear, and organized reports to present to Sales and Customers.
• Can present Mechanical and Process training to customers, on Pumps, Cyclones and Valves

What you bring

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mineral Processing, Extractive Metallurgy, or Chemical Engineering is preferred.
• 5+ years of demonstrated successful years in service and/or technical support the Mining industry, focused in Pumps and Cyclones.
• Experience in effectively interfacing with clients and gaining credibility; developing and implementing project-specific sales strategies.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a specific requirement in Spanish and English.
• Respect deadlines and works independently to reach them.
• Possess proficient skills within the Microsoft Office environment, specifically Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to travel as needed in Mexico, up to 75% of time.
