Support the development and documentation of test plans to validate hardware, firmware, and software designs and implementations by the development teams in collaboration with design engineers, architects, and product managers. Creates test environments as needed and executes test plans, which may include electrical validation testing, feature evaluation, system integration testing, and interoperability testing, then documents the test results and any related secondary analysis and findings. Contributes to the creation, modification, and management of test automation scripts. Assists as needed in the analysis, recreation, and debugging of complex customer field issues.

• Execute validation test plans to assess functionality, performance, compatibility, and reliability of hardware, firmware, and software.
• Collaborate with design engineers to create custom test setups using products and test equipment.
• Contribute to automation of validation processes using Python and LabView.
• Assist in creating detailed test plans from technical product or feature requirements.
• Document test procedures, results, and findings clearly and concisely.
• Analyze test results and work with engineering teams to identify and resolve failures.
• Support recreation and troubleshooting of customer site issues.

• Proficient with standard test equipment: oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, data loggers, spectrum analyzers.
• Experience with hardware tools and hands-on wiring (low and line voltage).
• Familiarity with command-line and engineering-developed software tools.
• Ability to create test plans from varying levels of technical specifications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
• Comfortable working independently in fast-paced environments with multiple priorities.
• Knowledge of software development practices (unit testing, code reviews, TDD, agile).
• Experience with specialized test equipment: network analyzers, power analyzers, EMI, surge, EFT, thermal chambers.
