UPM Raflatac Mexico is looking for a Logistics Supervisor, LATAM to join our team in Tultitlan.

You will bring proven leadership and people development to the team by effectively developing each individual team member. Professionally you will have deep experience in both national and international logistics within Mexico and Latin America. Sourcing of new transport providers, planning and execution are a key focus as you work with the team to elevate service to our clients. It's expected to work closely with our customer service and sales team for continuous improvement for clients with key focus on the Mexico City, Gaudalajara, and Monterrey. You have experience with maquila business structure and international trade compliance. What you will do
Lead and manage a team of logistics professionals responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating activities related to the movement of goods and materials within the organization or between locations
Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure timely delivery of products
Oversee warehouse operations, including inventory management, material handling, and shipping and receiving processes
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement necessary changes
Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of logistics operations and identify areas for improvement
Manage relationships with carriers and third-party logistics providers to optimize service levels and pricing
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, such as safety and environmental requirements
Stay up-to-date on industry trends and regulatory changes impacting logistics operations and adapt strategies accordingly
Who you are
You have bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
You have minimum of 10 years of experience in logistics management, preferably in a managerial role both in Mexico and Central / South America
You have strong knowledge of transportation and warehousing operations, including import, export, national LTL and direct within Mexico, and maquila operation
You have proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques for monitoring KPIs and identifying process improvements
You have excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team
You have strong experience working with carriers and third-party logistics providers.
You have solid understanding of relevant regulations and standards affecting logistics operations in Mexico and international
You have ability to effectively communicate and collaborate across departments and with external partners
You have adaptability and problem-solving skills to address unexpected challenges and disruptions in logistics operations
