Overview

The role supports the FP&A function through automation and data-driven reporting. It bridges finance and technology, helping to transition manual Excel-based processes into automated workflows using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Maconomy.



Responsibilities

  • Support monthly and quarterly FP&A activities (budgeting, forecasting, profitability analysis).
  • Extract, transform, and analyse financial data from GCP BigQuery linked to Maconomy.
  • Build and maintain automated reports and dashboards for regular financial cycles.
  • Validate and reconcile financial data outputs to ensure reporting accuracy.
  • Collaborate with the AAEE team to identify efficiency opportunities in financial reporting.
  • Document processes and maintain data flow clarity between Maconomy, GCP, and reporting tools.

Required Skills

The Office : Mexico City, hybrid model

  • Strong foundation in finance, accounting, or financial planning and analysis.
  • Proficiency in SQL, with proven experience writing and optimising queries.
  • Comfortable working with data extracted from multiple systems.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
  • Basic knowledge of, or willingness to learn, Python for automation tasks.
  • Understanding of, or exposure to, cloud platforms (preferably GCP).
  • Strong analytical mindset and attention to data integrity.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish.

Desirable:

  • Experience with financial systems integration or reporting automation.
  • Familiarity with BI tools (e.g. Looker, Power BI, or Data Studio).
  • Exposure to ETL processes or data modelling.

This position suits a financially skilled analyst who can operate comfortably with data infrastructure. The role's success depends on translating financial reporting needs into scalable automated outputs. The analyst must combine strong FP&A fundamentals with a data-focused approach to efficiency and continuous improvement.
