They are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Contracted CFO to partner with their leadership team and clients. This role is ideal for a finance professional with deep expertise in financial strategy, cash flow forecasting, and scaling organizations. As a Senior Consultant Financial Services, you will deliver both executive-level guidance and practical, actionable strategies to help clients grow their businesses and maintain financial health.

What You'll Do

Strategic Leadership: Serve as Head of Finance for assigned clients, working closely with owners and executive teams to align financial strategies with business goals.Financial Planning & Analysis: Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling processes, including 12-month budgets and projections, quarterly refreshes, and dynamic 13-week cash flow forecasts.Business Growth Guidance: Partner with clients (typically $600K–$15M in revenue) to identify opportunities for growth and profitability. Move beyond reporting numbers—help clients create digestible action items, improve cost management, and implement growth plans.KPI Development & Monitoring: Develop and refine KPIs (including working capital targets) to guide decision-making and track performance against financial goals.Capital & Funding Support: Advise on SBA loans, lines of credit, and financing strategies. Support clients with valuation increases, bank relationships, and potential exits.Risk Management & Compliance: Identify financial risks, ensure compliance with relevant regulations, and provide recommendations on back-office processes to achieve timely, accurate reporting.Client Communication & Meetings:Weekly stand-up calls (30 minutes) to stay aligned and ensure efficient financial processes.Monthly CFO calls (60–120 minutes) to review performance, address concerns, and build forward-looking strategies.Quarterly CFO calls (90 minutes) for deeper strategic reviews.Reporting & Oversight: Deliver monthly financial packages (e.g., Fathom dashboards), conduct quarterly cost audits, and oversee accurate reporting from accounting teams.

What You Need

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or economics; MBA, CPA, or CFA strongly preferred.Minimum of 7 years of senior-level financial leadership, including CFO or VP of Finance experience.Demonstrated success working with small business clients and scaling organizations in the $600K–$15M revenue range.Proven ability to deliver strategic financial guidance and actionable insights in a multi-client environment.Strong experience with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management tools.Excellent project management and communication skills; able to lead structured client meetings and drive accountability.Proficiency with financial platforms such as QBO, Xero, Excel, and modern FP&A/reporting tools.Familiarity with SBA loan processes, banking relationships, and small business funding strategies.Comfortable advising across industries, including local service businesses (restaurants, construction, professional services, etc.).

Competitive SalaryThis is a full-time, long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with TLNT.Work from home.Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm (+/- 1 hour accepted) - PST.Additional perks.
