The Media Intelligence Analyst supports public relations and media relations initiatives by providing research, tracking, and organizational support across assigned client accounts. This role is ideal for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional who enjoys working behind the scenes to enable successful media campaigns.

The Media Intelligence Analyst is embedded with a specific team and set of clients, developing familiarity with each account's industry, media landscape, and communications goals. Their work directly supports proactive media outreach, thought leadership efforts, and ongoing client visibility.

While administrative support is part of the role, the primary value of the Media Intelligence Analyst lies in research quality, trend awareness, and consistent execution across multiple client workflows.

Key Responsibilities

Media Research & Strategy Support

  • Conduct ongoing research into industry trends, competitors, media outlets, and journalists relevant to assigned clients
  • Build, maintain, and refine media lists based on strategic targets and reporter focus areas
  • Monitor news cycles and media coverage, flagging relevant opportunities or risks
  • Track editorial calendars and contribute insights to proactive outreach strategies
  • Collaborate with account teams on media research, pitch support, and outreach preparation

Thought Leadership & Awards Tracking

  • Maintain award, conference, and speaking opportunity trackers for assigned clients
  • Research new awards and speaking opportunities and evaluate relevance
  • Track submission deadlines and keep teams informed of upcoming opportunities
  • Monitor competitor awards activity to identify benchmarks and gaps
  • Assist with drafting award and speaking submissions as needed

Client & Team Support

  • Support client call preparation through agenda updates and action item tracking
  • Monitor and share daily media coverage; compile monthly coverage reports
  • Maintain organized tracking documents and shared resources
  • Support scheduling, deadlines, and internal coordination across assigned accounts

Success Metrics

  • Demonstrated curiosity and growth in media relations strategy

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15, $18,000.00 per month
