Overview

We are seeking a Software Engineer to join the Supply Chain Inbound (SCIP) team, supporting continued innovation and operational excellence across warehouse operations. 

The ideal candidate brings strong technical leadership, hands-on engineering expertise, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, distributed environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, document, and maintain scalable, enterprise-grade software systems with a strong focus on quality, reliability, and performance.

  • Build and support mission-critical integrations and microservices supporting inbound supply chain workflows.

  • Lead daily standups, manage Jira boards, provide team updates, and collaborate closely with stakeholders to gather and clarify requirements.

  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical leadership and best-practice guidance.

  • Support DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and production monitoring.

  • Perform data analysis and troubleshooting to support operational excellence.

  • Participate in on-call support during working hours to ensure system stability and timely issue resolution.

Qualifications

Must reside in Mexico and have conversation English

Experience & Leadership

  • 8+ years of hands-on software development experience, with a strong background in system design, architecture, and enterprise application development.

  • Experience operating in a Tech Lead or Senior Engineer capacity, including stakeholder management and team leadership.

  • Strong English communication skills required for technical discussions, problem-solving, and cross-team collaboration.

Technical Skills

  • Languages:

    • Java (required)

    • React (nice to have)

    • Python (nice to have)

  • Frameworks & Architecture:

    • Spring Boot

    • RESTful APIs and microservices architecture

  • Messaging & Integration:

    • Kafka, SQS (or similar messaging technologies)

  • Cloud & DevOps:

    • AWS (preferred)

    • Kubernetes, AWS Lambda (preferred)

    • CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI/CD, Terraform)

  • Databases:

    • Relational and non-relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, DynamoDB)

  • Quality & Observability:

    • Test automation (unit, integration, regression, load testing)

    • Logging and monitoring tools such as New Relic and Splunk
