Key Responsibilities:

  • Orchestrating the implementation of significant change projects qualifying new formulations of raw materials impacted by market disruptions and a changing regulatory landscape. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Partnering with regulatory to develop minimized registration pathways for new materials
  • Phase in/phase out across resin processing, injection molding, assembly BOMs
  • Multi-project portfolio management across product platforms and standard operating structures
  • Financial assessments of last time buys based on lean qualification strategies
  • Escalation management
  • Supply chain interruption management
  • Drive continuous improvement in lifecycle management systems. This includes but is not limited to the following:
  • Analyze current processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement in our governance behaviors, digital systems, processes and procedures
  • Identifying, tracking, and reacting to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Cross functional influence management to simplify the way we work across entire lifecycle landscape
  • Change management of behavior, systems, and procedure updates to ensure smooth adoption and accelerated application
  • Translate business needs to user stories & requirements for software solution development, including PowerBI dashboards, AI agents, Smartsheet portfolios, Product Lifecycle Management [PLM] systems etc
  • Differentiate between regulatory and business requirements; challenge the business to risk based approaches

Qualifications

Education:

  • A minimum of a B.S. engineering or technical degree required.
  • Advanced Engineering degree or MBA preferred.

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • A minimum of 7 or more years in a medical device or regulated industry
  • Manufacturing development experience required;
  • Experience in life cycle engineering (maintained design intent), required
  • 5 years of significant Project Management experience required.
  • Ability to balance triple constraint (time, cost and scope) required
  • Strong business acumen required
  • Leadership skills: Challenging of status quo; Judgment & decision-making skills; Organizing & planning; Interpersonal relationship & influence; Conflict management; Management & development of others; Negotiation skills
  • Able to work in a changing environment (flexible)
  • Problem analysis & resolution
  • Cross functional experience

Preferred:

  • 7 or more years in development & introduction of new products preferred. etc.), where applicable.
  • 7 or more years direct technical service & / or engineering support to manufacturing preferred.
  • Experience in the new product development, preferred.
  • Strategic planning/portfolio management preferred
  • PMP, FPx, and/or Agile certification preferred.
  • Certification in Black Belt DMAIIC preferred; GB DMADVV preferred, GB in Lean preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in end to end supply chain management (Plan, Source, Make, Deliver), preferred
  • CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional - APICS) preferred
  • Agile/scrum software development process experience preferred

Other:

  • Fluent Bilingual English/Spanish language skills preferred.
  • up to 25% travel
  • CPIM or FPX is preferred

Computer Skills:

  • Personal computer skills, Windows: word processing, project planning, presentation, e-mail & spreadsheet software. Understanding of information technology in order to allow utilization of new technologies to meet business objectives. Understanding of database management techniques & portfolio systems
