Role Overview

As a Ground Domestic Specialist II, you will be responsible for managing the operational and administrative aspects of domestic ground transportation services. You will ensure compliance with internal procedures and standards, meet client requirements, and maintain high levels of service quality and operational efficiency. Your efforts will support the overall supply chain and logistics operations by enabling timely and effective shipments within national territory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate, schedule, and monitor ground shipments across Mexico, ensuring adherence to timelines and client expectations.
  • Manage administrative and financial controls related to operations, including collecting supporting service documents, invoicing clients, and processing payments to suppliers.
  • Support compliance with supply chain and transportation processes to guarantee customer satisfaction and smooth logistics flow.
  • Maintain financial oversight of assigned client accounts to ensure operational profitability.
  • Prepare and present Key Performance Indicators (KPIs); collaborate with clients and suppliers to design and implement continuous improvement plans.
  • Review, complete, and maintain diverse documentation and databases related to transportation and logistics activities.
  • Assist in research efforts and develop recommendations to resolve transportation and logistics issues effectively.
  • Participate in reviewing and implementing transportation and logistics policies, practices, and programs aligned with organizational needs and administrative requirements.
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned to contribute to operational excellence.
Collaboration and Reporting

This role requires active collaboration with all areas involved in the land logistics process, fostering effective communication with suppliers, clients, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations. The Ground Domestic Specialist II reports directly to the Ground Operations Supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Transport Engineering, International Business, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2 to 3 years managing terrestrial domestic logistics operations, with practical knowledge of transportation providers, unit types, and services offered.
  • Technical Knowledge: Proficient understanding of domestic logistics including supplier management, documentation control, operational regulations, and transit laws applicable to various transportation modes.
  • Language Skills: Advanced English proficiency to support effective international communication.

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent teamwork capabilities with a collaborative mindset.
  • Result-oriented, proactive approach combined with effective negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and maintain order in a dynamic environment.
  • Sound financial acumen for cost control and profitability management.
  • Exceptional communication skills to liaise with diverse stakeholders.
