Project Manager – Automotive ECU Development

We are looking for a Project Manager to act as the primary point of contact for our customers in Mexico, ensuring smooth communication and coordination throughout the development process. This role requires strong project management skills, knowledge of automotive quality standards, and the ability to represent our company professionally with OEMs and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the main liaison between the customer, internal teams, and suppliers, ensuring clear and timely communication.
- Manage project timelines, deliverables, and milestones for ECU module development.
- Oversee quality-related activities, ensuring compliance with APQP, PPAP, and other automotive standards.
- Coordinate issue resolution across technical, manufacturing, and business areas.
- Prepare and present progress reports to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Support cross-functional teams (Validation, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Sales, Quality) to meet project objectives.
- Maintain alignment with HQ teams and global stakeholders.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by proactively managing risks and expectations.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Automotive) or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in automotive project management or ECU development.
- Solid understanding of APQP, PPAP, DFMEA, and automotive quality systems.
- Strong organizational and communication skills to manage multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and represent the company at customer sites.
- Fluent in Spanish and English (written and spoken).
- Experience with OEM interaction and supplier management.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of ECU development processes and automotive electronics.
- Familiarity with automotive standards (IATF 16949, VDA 6.3).
- Previous experience with Tier 1 suppliers or OEM programs.
- Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
