Job Title: SRE Release Engineer

Location: Remote (Mexico)

Job description:


•

Self-starter & team player. Should be comfortable in a fast paced and ever-changing

environment.


• Comfortable working with others to share knowledge and raise the technical ability of

their peers.


• Strong grasp/command of the English language


• Strong history of work in building and running SaaS applications in production on public cloud using CICD processes.


• Best if experienced being first SRE in an environment.


• Comfortable establishing an SRE program from scratch.


• Strong knowledge of k8s operations and management


• Bonus for applicable experience with EKS


• Knowledge of how applications run in k8s environment.


• Bonus for working knowledge of Harness CD, Jenkins, Github, etc.


• Strong knowledge in IaC code tools (Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation, Ansible,

Puppet)


• Bonus for Terraform


• Strong knowledge of Python


• Extremely helpful to be knowledgeable in Groovy and/or Golang.


• Very strong knowledge writing shell scripts


• Strong knowledge in observability concepts


• Monitoring/Alerting


• SLA/SLO/SLI understanding of terms and practical experience implementing.


• Strong knowledge in Cloud computing concepts


• Strong preference for previous work experience in AWS


• Comfortable working with a development team in an iterative manner to achieve best

Practices


• Strong knowledge of Linux administration


• Strong understanding of networking relating to hosts


• Bonus for experience in building/maintaining IaC securely.
