We're building a next-generation warehouse management and e-commerce platform designed for real-world scale and reliability. As we move from pilot deployments to enterprise operations, quality is not optional—it's foundational.

We're looking for a Senior SDET / QA Automation Engineer to design and own our entire testing ecosystem from the ground up. This is not a "write some tests" role. This is an opportunity to architect how quality is built, validated, and sustained across the full stack.

You will build testing infrastructure that matches the sophistication of the product itself.

What You'll BuildEnd-to-End Test Infrastructure

• Comprehensive E2E coverage for critical user workflows
• Cross-browser and cross-device automation
• Real-time WebSocket testing for live inventory updates
• API contract and integration test frameworks
• Performance and load testing infrastructure
• Visual regression testing for UI components
• Database state validation and test data management

Backend Testing + TypeScript + PostgreSQL)

• REST and WebSocket/Socket.IO API testing
• Unit tests for business logic and domain services
• Integration tests with real database connections
• Drizzle ORM query and migration testing
• Authentication & authorization testing (session-based, PQC signing)
• Concurrency testing (race conditions, deadlocks)
• Real-time event testing (Socket.IO rooms and broadcasts)

Frontend Testing (React + TypeScript + Vite)

• Component unit tests (Jest/Vitest + React Testing Library)
• Integration tests for React Context and state management
• Full E2E user flows (auth, dashboard, inventory, orders)
• Accessibility testing (WCAG 2.1 AA)
• Performance testing (Core Web Vitals, bundle size)
• Visual regression testing via screenshot comparison
• Responsive design validation across devices

CI/CD & Automation

• GitHub Actions workflows for automated test execution
• Pre-commit and pre-push validation
• Parallelized test execution for fast feedback
• Flaky test detection and remediation
• Test reporting dashboards and quality metrics
• Docker-based test environments
• Database seeding and teardown automation

Quality & Engineering Practices

• Define and document test strategy and best practices
• Participate in code reviews with a quality-first lens
• Perform deep bug reproduction and root-cause analysis
• Performance profiling and bottleneck identification
• Security testing (SQLi, XSS, CSRF, auth bypasses)
• Chaos engineering experiments for resilience
• Production monitoring tied to test scenarios

Required Technical ExpertiseTesting Tools (Must Have)

• E2E: Playwright or Puppeteer (production experience)
• Backend: Jest, Supertest, or similar
• Frontend: Jest + React Testing Library
• API: Postman/Newman or custom harnesses
• Load: k6, Artillery, JMeter, or Gatling
• Visual: Percy, Chromatic, or BackstopJS
• Accessibility: axe-core, Lighthouse CI, pa11y

Technologies (Must Know)

• Expert-level TypeScript (especially type-safe tests)
• async/await patterns
• React testing strategies
• PostgreSQL and SQL validation
• Git workflows
• Docker & Docker Compose
• CI/CD (GitHub Actions preferred)

Domain Knowledge

• REST API testing best practices
• WebSocket/Socket.IO real-time testing
• Session, cookie, and token-based auth testing
• Database migrations and transactions
• ORM testing (Drizzle, Prisma, TypeORM, etc.)
• Frontend state testing (Context, Redux, Zustand)
• Browser DevTools & network inspection
