SAP ABAP Lead – 6 Month Contract (Remote)

About the Role

We are hiring an experienced SAP ABAP Lead for one of our client to take ownership of end-to-end ABAP development activities, design scalable solutions, and guide junior team members. This role will closely collaborate with functional teams and ensure adherence to clean-core principles in S/4HANA environments.

The ideal candidate brings strong development leadership, deep knowledge of modern ABAP frameworks, and hands-on experience with SAP Governance, RAP, CDS, and workflow design.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in Classic ABAP (Reports, Enhancements, BAdIs, Dynpros, Function Modules)
  • 10+ years in ABAP OO design and modeling
  • 5+ years of SAP Workflow development
  • 3+ years using RAP Framework
  • 3+ years in SAP Fiori / SAPUI5
  • 3+ years working on CDS Views, CDS Entities, ABAP Business Objects
  • 2+ years using EML
  • Strong expertise in IDocs and RFC interfaces (10+ years)
  • Experience in designing OData Services
  • Strong understanding of Clean-Core extensibility in S/4HANA
  • Experience partnering with cross-functional teams and governance groups
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
