Senior Android Engineer

This isn't just about writing code; it's about enabling millions of passengers to connect with the people and places they love. You will own the core mobile experiences—from authentication to loyalty features—that travelers rely on every single day.

• Work from Home, Thrive in the US: Enjoy the autonomy of a remote role while functioning as a core member of a US-based engineering team.
• The "Stateside" Connection: You will travel to the US three times a year to collaborate in person, strategize on the future of the app, and immerse yourself in the legendary "Southwest Heart" culture.

• Build the Future of Travel: Design and build high-impact features for the consumer app using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose. You aren't just maintaining legacy code; you are building the next generation of travel tech.
• Architect Excellence: Champion modern Android architecture patterns (MVVM, Clean Architecture) to ensure our codebase is scalable, testable, and robust.
• Bridge the Gap: Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Design, Backend, and QA teams. You will be the technical voice in the room, translating complex problems into elegant solutions for non-technical teammates.
• Own the Experience: You will be responsible for critical user journeys including authentication, profile management, and Rapid Rewards loyalty features.

• Diplomatic & Adaptable: You are skilled at resolving internal conflict and navigating diverse opinions. You challenge ideas respectfully and embrace teamwork.
• Communication Master: You can explain complex technical constraints to a Product Manager as easily as you can discuss coroutines with a developer. You are comfortable speaking through projects, features, and tools efficiently.
• Feedback Loop: You are great at giving feedback, but even better at receiving it. You view code reviews as a place to learn, not a battlefield.
• Daily Engagement: You don't disappear. You consistently engage with the team daily, building trust and camaraderie across borders.

• The Veteran: You have 8+ years of professional Android development experience. You've seen it all, fixed it all, and shipped it all.
• The Specialist: Strong expertise in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose is non-negotiable.
• Scale: You have experience implementing new features on consumer-facing Android applications used by millions of users. You understand what "at scale" really means.
• Experience working in diverse backgrounds and have a communicative mindset.

• Must be located in LATAM.

• Work remotely Monday - Friday, 40 hours a week (no weekends)
• Vacation: 10 business days a year
