About the Grant Services Team

The Grant Services team at CLF plays a vital role in helping local governments and nonprofit organizations secure essential funding to transform their visions into reality. With a proven track record of securing over $140 million in successful grant requests, our team provides comprehensive support from initial research to final submission. We begin by conducting thorough research to identify suitable public and private funding sources, considering factors like deadlines, reporting requirements, and alignment with project goals. Following this, we develop persuasive and strategic grant applications, meticulously crafting narratives, measurable outcomes, and funder-aligned budgets. We also proactively monitor the evolving funding landscape, ensuring our clients are always prepared for new opportunities. Ultimately, our team serves as a dedicated partner in our clients' missions, providing strategic and insightful grant support to empower them to achieve their goals.

Job Summary

The Grants Manager oversees the forecast, priorization and preparation of competitive proposals for submission to U.S. federal, state, and private funders. This role ensures that proposals are compliant, compelling, and submitted on time, while leading a team of Analysts to deliver high-quality outputs.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise, mentor, and evaluate a team of 2-4 Analysts.

Oversee the development, editing, and quality control of proposal narratives.

Ensure all proposals meet funder requirements, including budgets, formats, and submission guidelines.

Coordinate with the General Manager to plan workload and timelines based on opportunities approved by the Texas office.

Maintain a master calendar of proposal deadlines and submission milestones.

Develop and implement writing guides, and review processes to ensure consistency.

Track proposal outcomes and implement improvements based on feedback.

Provide regular reporting to the General Manager and senior leadership in the Texas office.

Minimum Qualifications

Advanced English Proficiency, specially written English.

Proven team management and leadership experience.

Experience in report writing, proposal development, or fundraising.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Economics, Data Analytics, Public Policy, International Relations or related field.

Familiarity with U.S. government grant submission systems (e.g., , ).

Experience managing large, multi-component proposals.

Skills & Competencies

Ability to translate technical, quantitative or complex concepts into persuasive language.

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.

Collaborative leadership style with a focus on quality and efficiency.

Compensation between USD assigned based on background, performance and results. Health Insurance Plan provided.
