POSITION SUMMARY
- The VOS Supervisor is responsible for driving and facilitating continuous improvement initiatives across the organization to enhance operational efficiency, effectiveness, and overall performance. This role involves identifying areas for improvement, developing, and implementing strategies and methodologies, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The Continuous Improvement Leader will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that improvement efforts align with organizational goals and deliver measurable results.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assume a leadership role in planning, executing, and closing improvement projects.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, outlining scope, timelines, resource requirements, and deliverables.
- Execute projects according to established plans, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Provide regular updates on project progress, address concerns, and manage expectations.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, addressing issues proactively to prevent delays or roadblocks and implement contingency plans as needed to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Develop and implement continuous improvement strategies and initiatives aligned with the organization's strategic objectives.
- Oversee the work of the Continuous Improvement , providing guidance, support, and performance evaluations.
- Delegate tasks and projects to the coordinator, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and efficient execution.
- Analyze existing processes and systems to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for enhancement.
- Lead process mapping and redesign efforts to streamline operations and reduce waste.
- Manage continuous improvement projects from initiation through completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
- Utilize project management methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) to drive successful project outcomes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify improvement opportunities and facilitate change.
- Provide coaching and training to team members on continuous improvement principles and tools.
- Develop and implement change management plans to ensure successful adoption of improvement initiatives.
- Collect and analyze data to identify trends, root causes, and areas for improvement.
- Prepare and present reports on the progress and impact of continuous improvement initiatives to senior management.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Proven 4-8 years of experience in a continuous improvement role, with a track record of leading successful process improvement projects.
- In-depth knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, Agile).
- Good English communications skills – written & verbal.
- Strong project-management skills.
- Computer skills – proficiency in Microsoft-Office suite
- Smartsheet / Power BI experience.
- Prior experience using word processing, spreadsheet, BI software, statistical analysis, and presentation software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, utilizing data-driven insights for decision-making.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, conveying complex concepts clearly.
- Ability to create and manage comprehensive documentation systems.
- Demonstrated project management skills, planning, executing, and overseeing projects from conception to completion.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
- The role is primarily based in a manufacturing facility, requiring regular site visits and interaction with production teams.
- Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to safety protocols.
- The role involves extended periods of sitting in front of a computer.
- Occasional standing or walking may be required during meetings, presentations, or site visits
- Work is primarily conducted in an office environment with controlled temperature and lighting.
