Category Manager Senior

Título: Category Manager Senior

Ubicación: CDMX

Experiencia requerida: +5 años en gestión de categorías (idealmente en retail, consumo masivo o autoservicio)

Reporta a: Gerencia/ Dirección Comercial o de Marketing

Objetivo del puesto

Liderar la estrategia integral de la categoría asignada, maximizando ventas, margen y participación de mercado mediante la gestión del portafolio, análisis del shopper, negociación con proveedores y la ejecución de planes comerciales alineados a los objetivos del negocio y del canal.

Responsabilidades principalesGestión del negocio y estrategia

  • Definir y ejecutar el plan estratégico anual de la categoría basado en tendencias, insights y comportamiento del consumidor.
  • Gestionar el ciclo de vida del portafolio: altas, bajas, mix, pricing, promo y planogramas.
  • Desarrollar estrategias de crecimiento por segmento y subcategoría.

Análisis y toma de decisiones

  • Realizar análisis profundo de ventas, rotación, margen, inventarios y share de mercado.
  • Interpretar datos a partir de herramientas como Nielsen, Innova, ISCAM, datos internos y análisis del shopper.
  • Implementar estrategias basadas en KPIs: GMROI, sell-out, penetración, participación y elasticidad de precio.

Negociación y relación con proveedores

  • Negociar condiciones comerciales, acuerdos anuales, rebates, MDF, promociones y lanzamientos.
  • Desarrollar estrategias con proveedores clave (joint business plans).
  • Evaluar desempeño de proveedores y construir relaciones de largo plazo.

Ejecución comercial

  • Coordinar lanzamientos, promociones, calendario comercial y planes de visibilidad.
  • Desarrollar planogramas optimizados para maximizar productividad por metro lineal.
  • Asegurar alineación entre marketing, operaciones, logística y ventas.

Gestión interna y liderazgo

  • Supervisar analistas o asistentes de categoría (en caso de tener equipo).
  • Colaborar con áreas de abastecimiento, e-commerce, logística y pricing.

Requisitos del perfil

  • Licenciatura en Administración, Marketing, Negocios Internacionales o afín.
  • +5 años de experiencia comprobable como Category Manager, Trade Marketing o Retail Marketing.
  • Conocimiento sólido de canales de autoservicio, cadenas como Walmart (ESPECIFICAMENTE ESA CADENA)
  • Suma puntos conocimiento en SINTILA (WALMART)
  • Experiencia trabajando con data avanzada (BI, Nielsen, Tableau, Power BI).
  • Excel avanzado (tablas dinámicas, modelos financieros, matrices de precio).
  • Habilidad fuerte para negociación, análisis y gestión de proyectos.
  • Inglés intermedio–avanzado (deseable).

- ⁠Contar con un nivel de inglés avanzado

- ⁠Sueldo de la posición 42k a 48k

- ⁠No tener inconveniente con que la posición sea contratada por agencia y no directamente con la marca
