Import & Export Analyst
Ensure the efficient and timely execution of all import and export operations, ensuring strict compliance with the customs regulations in force and optimizing logistics processes to contribute to the supply chain supply and budgetary control of the company.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Logistics management and coordination:
- Schedule, coordinate and track import and export shipments by sea, air, and land at both Mexican and US customs.
- Proactively coordinate carriers, forwarders, shipping companies, and customs agents to optimize times in logistics processes and ensure shipments arrive on time. Code of Standard Part Revision.
- Manage the import and export logistics of samples from different modes.
- Manage the import logistics of shipments for the entity of Nidec Services.
- Scheduling of local and/or national land shipments.
- Take care of Trade Compliance USA tickets on the same day they are received and reassign those that do not correspond to the team to comply with KPIs.
Administration and finance:
- Manage the processing of invoices from logistics providers and track the statements to ensure timely payments in ERP
- Ensure that extraordinary expenses have the prior approval of the applicant's area leader before execution of the service.
- Prepare accrual reports for monthly closures and calculate unit logistics costs of products.
- Controlling and tracking claims for damaged goods with the appropriate insurer.
Compliance and Continuous Improvement:
- Ensure that all operations comply with the Customs Law, Rules of Foreign Trade and requirements for certifications such as ISO, AEO, CTPAT and SOX.
- Manage with customs agents the correct and timely closing and payment of orders.
- Develop and keep up-to-date internal reports and management indicators (KPIs), as well as control of internal documentation.
- Design and implement continuous improvement projects to optimize logistics processes, reduce transit times, improve traceability, and decrease inventory costs
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum educational requirement: BS or equivalent professional experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience in similar roles within the import and export area.
- SAP Management (Plus)
- Conversational English
