Trilingual Translator

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Trilingual Translator for a temporary, 3-6-month contract role. This position is critical to the successful onboarding and initial engagement of a new Japanese customer. The ideal candidate will possess native-level fluency in Spanish and professional working proficiency in Japanese and English. Proven expertise in translating complex technical, business, and legal documentation across these three languages is required. This role demands exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively under tight deadlines.

• Trilingual Translation: Accurately and fluently translate business documents, technical specifications, customer contracts, and legal agreements, and general correspondence from and into Japanese, Spanish, and English.

• Contract Review and Translation: Specifically translate, review, and verify the accuracy of legal and contractual documents (e.g., MSAs, SOWs, NDAs) between Japanese, Spanish, and English, ensuring critical terms and legal nuances are correctly conveyed.

• Localization & Cultural Adaptation: Ensure translated content is culturally appropriate and localized for the target audience (Japanese, Spanish, and US/UK English speakers), maintaining the original meaning, tone, and context.

• Quality Assurance: Proofread and edit translated documents for grammatical, stylistic, and factual accuracy.

• Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, sales, technical support, and legal teams to prioritize translation needs and meet project deadlines.

• Language Fluency:

  • Professional Working Proficiency (Speaking and Writing) in Japanese. Must be comfortable with complex business terminology, including formal Japanese, for official communication and document writing.

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of professional translation experience, specifically in a corporate, technical, or legal environment. Proven experience reviewing and translating contractual documents.

• Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to work, ensuring the highest level of accuracy in all translations, particularly legal and contractual language.

This is a temporary 3 to 6 month assignment.
