Position Overview:

ArcelorMittal Mexico is seeking a highly skilled and experienced
Tax Manager
to lead and manage our tax operations within the organization. This position will be critical to ensuring tax compliance across the various jurisdictions in which we operate, and developing efficient global tax strategies that optimize the company's tax position. Key Responsibilities:

  • Global Tax Management:
    Ensure compliance with local and international tax regulations in all jurisdictions where ArcelorMittal operates, focusing on optimizing the global tax burden.
  • Tax Planning & Compliance:
    Develop and implement tax strategies to mitigate risks, avoid double taxation, and ensure proper allocation of profits across countries of operation based on BEPS principles and international treaties.
  • Relationship with Tax Authorities:
    Maintain effective communication with tax authorities, represent the company in tax audits, and manage fiscal matters.
  • Risk Management:
    Identify potential tax risks and opportunities at a global level, providing solutions to mitigate negative impacts on the company.
  • Team Leadership:
    Manage and lead the tax team, collaborating with external advisors and consultants to ensure efficient and effective processes.
  • Analysis & Reporting:
    Supervise the preparation and review of tax filings, compliance reports, and other tax-related analysis to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in
    Public Accounting
    (required).
  • Master's degree in Taxation, Finance, or Tax Law
    (preferred).

Professional Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience
    in tax, preferably in multinational companies.
  • Strong experience in
    tax compliance
    ,
    preparation of tax filings
    , and
    tax audits
    .
  • Deep knowledge of
    BEPS
    ,
    International Tax Treaties
    , and international tax regulations, including strategies for avoiding double taxation.
  • Experience managing
    external consultants
    and
    tax advisors
    .
  • Proficiency in
    ERP systems
    such as
    SAP
    ,
    Oracle
    , and advanced tax analysis tools (Excel).

Technical Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of local and international tax regulations.
  • Ability to communicate complex tax matters to internal teams and tax authorities.
  • Strong capability to identify and manage
    global tax risks
    .

Languages:

  • Advanced English
    (required, both spoken and written).
