This role is fully accountable for ensuring a consistent, efficient, and high-quality food service experience for employees, while managing staff, operations, and compliance with minimal day-to-day oversight from HR or leadership.
Job DescriptionWhat You'll Do
- Lead and oversee daily cafeteria operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and consistency.
- Manage and develop the cafeteria team, including scheduling, training, and performance oversight.
- Plan menus and ensure food quality, safety, and hygiene standards are met.
- Own operational controls such as inventory, waste, portioning, and cost management.
- Act as the main escalation point for operational issues and service improvements.
- Create a positive, respectful, and productive work environment.
- Coach and develop the Café Assistant Manager to ensure strong backup coverage.
- Proven experience leading food service, cafeteria, or hospitality operations.
- Strong people management and leadership skills.
- Solid knowledge of food safety and local health regulations.
- High level of ownership, accountability, and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to operate independently with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage escalations calmly and effectively.
Work Details
