We are expanding and looking for a
Customer Care Agent
who is organized, empathetic, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Role Overview

As a Customer Care Agent, you will be the first point of contact for new clients—welcoming them, explaining next steps, collecting required documents, and ensuring a smooth transition into our case pipeline. You will not provide legal advice; instead, you will support clients through structured workflows and clear communication.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct welcome calls and guide clients through onboarding
  • Confirm payment arrangements and send required documentation
  • Collect IDs and civil documents
  • Initiate FOIA requests once required documents are received
  • Maintain weekly follow-ups with clients in "Pending Documents" status
  • Provide updates and answer basic process questions using approved scripts
  • Upload files and document all communication in Filevine
  • Escalate red flags or urgent issues to supervisors
  • Collaborate with the FOIA and Case Management teams to ensure smooth handoffs

Qualifications

  • Minimum
    1 year
    of customer service or client-facing experience
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Comfortable with technology and structured procedures
  • Detail-oriented with strong follow-through
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
  • Ability to support clients with empathy and professionalism
  • Must follow scripts and never provide legal advice (training provided)
