Localization QA Tester (Spanish)

Lionbridge is seeking a Bilingual Localization QA Tester to work on an exciting project for one of our clients. In this role, you will be responsible for the production, quality assurance, and testing of localized product and marketing materials to ensure content is culturally and linguistically adapted for global markets. You should have a keen eye for detail and an interest in working with linguistics or translations in a multicultural environment. As part of our team, you will collaborate with internal stakeholders and LSP partners to manage the localization production lifecycle and quality testing, delivering exceptional localized products to our client's global customers. What You Will Do

• Manage the lifecycle of localization production and testing for products and localized web pages, including requirement gathering, setting up test environments for linguistic QA, creating test plans and test cases, and overseeing the QA process to ensure products meet quality standards for each target locale.
• Utilize ticketing tools like Asana/Workfront/JIRA to manage linguistic issues and reports.
• Make linguistic updates directly in Translation Memory (TM).
• Partner with marketing and product content writers to ensure source content is localization-friendly.
• Collaborate with UI/UX engineers to address issues like hard-coded strings, RTL enablement, and the externalization of localizable elements for translation.
• Manage workload in a fast-paced, highly distributed environment.

To Be Successful You Will Have

• In-country localization tester with 5+ years of experience.
• Native speaker fluency in Spanish (a must).
• Cultural awareness of the target language.
• Proficient in written and spoken English, with the ability to type in both source and target languages.
• Highly organized with attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Experience with test automation frameworks and tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium.
• Familiarity with programming languages like JavaScript and Python is a plus.
• Experience with iOS, Android, macOS, and Windows products.
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, Restful API, and Web apps.
• Experience with Translation Management Systems (e.g., Smartling).
• Understanding of localization best practices and common challenges.
• Passion for developing processes and strong organizational skills.
• Experience tracking, analyzing, and reporting on bugs, and managing multiple projects.
• A desire to work closely with others to deliver quality software and solve problems.
• Empathy and professionalism.
