JOB PURPOSE
Ensure that products delivered to customers meet quality standards, with a particular focus on reliability and durability, achieving efficient tracking of warranty claims in continuous collaboration with teams to ensure constant product improvement.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Responsibilities
• Responsible for analyzing product returns due to quality issues under warranty or from the factory and generating the corresponding analysis reports
• Responsible for managing the warranty database for domestic and foreign returns.
• Processing warranty claims with domestic customers.
• Participate in assigned Quality Review Board projects with the multidisciplinary team in order to reduce warranty costs.
• Monitor and follow up on established gates for warranty issues.
• Contact PHINIA's domestic and external customers to respond to warranty issues reported on our products.
• Participate in product improvement activities, taking into account internal and customer warranty indicators.
• Actively participate in the Annual Physical Inventory.
• Participate in JFA (joint failure analysis) projects with customers.
What we're looking for
• Education: Mechanical Engineer, Electrician, Industrial Engineer, or related field.
• Experience in a similar position: 5 years or more in a similar position.
• Required technical knowledge:
o Knowledge of FMEA, APQP, PPAP, and PC
o Knowledge of problem solving (8Ds/A3), customer responses
o Knowledge of special processes (applicable CQIs) CQI-14
o IATF internal auditor (desirable)
o Experience with OEM customers (passenger and truck vehicles), portal management
o Statistical methods (CEP), reliability analysis (software)
o Knowledge of inspection, measurement, and testing equipment
o Knowledge of GD&T
o Manufacturing processes (welding, torque, machining, heat treatments, testing and trial equipment)
o Weibull analysis
o Knowledge of the use and application of anti-error systems (Poka Yoke)
o Training as an internal instructor
