Your Role 

You will leverage your software development expertise and cutting-edge AI tools to accelerate development cycles and drive innovation. As a key member of our team, you will apply your skills in software development, application architecture, and problem-solving to build rapid prototypes and production-ready solutions. You'll use AI-powered development tools to improve code quality, automate daily tasks, and speed up delivery—while maintaining high engineering standards.

Working closely with project teams and business stakeholders, you'll bring your technical expertise to catalyze innovation using both traditional development practices and AI-augmented environments.

Your soft skills will help you build or be part of a high-performing engineering team that consistently exceeds expectations by effectively combining human expertise and AI capabilities.

Your Mission 

As a tech consultant, your mission is both external and internal.

Externally, with clients, you will:

• Write code following best practices and a software craftsmanship mindset—augmented by AI
• Proactively suggest, test, and adapt tools and methods that best fit the context of your assignment
• Conduct code, accessibility, performance, and security audits using both your expertise and AI-assisted analysis
• Listen, rephrase, create diagrams, lead workshops... in short, do everything to ensure ongoing mutual understanding
• Participate in, facilitate, and/or organize Agile ceremonies in your projects
• Suggest improvements to your client and team members for better ways of working
• Design simple, scalable architectures adapted to various contexts using AI-driven approaches
• Leverage AI tools to troubleshoot and efficiently solve technical problems
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and AI development practices

Internally, at PALO IT, within the Tech Hive, you will:

• Join our internal technical community (experience sharing, tech watch, support)
• Collaborate with colleagues on process and/or tool improvement initiatives
• Take part in our training and positive-impact workshops: sustainable tech, climate fresk, 2tonnes, accessibility, etc.

Examples of Projects We've Done

• Developed an app to manage a company's fleet of electric cars
• Built a SaaS platform for the circular economy to support tool reuse
• Created an app to optimize the yield of a pepper farm in Cambodia
• Carried out technical, organizational, and UX audits—paired up—at a VR software publisher and a wine industry client
• Designed and facilitated workshops on sustainable tech and accessibility; led 2tonnes workshops

Your Profile

Our consultants come from very diverse backgrounds, and we're proud of that richness. Describing our future colleague could take hours, so here are a few key points:

• You have 5+ years of experience in software development across several of the following technologies: Python, JavaScript, Rust, Java, C#, etc.
• You're technologically agnostic and enjoy discovering and implementing new tech stacks
• You are proactive, curious, and open to different perspectives and backgrounds
• You are skilled in using AI code assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Continue, Code Assist, Cursor…) for code generation and problem-solving
• You understand fast engineering principles for optimal interaction with AI tools
• You have a critical mindset to validate and verify AI-generated code and solutions
• You are committed to continuous learning and keeping up with the fast-evolving AI landscape
• You are open to cross-functional roles when project quality requires it
• You care about social and environmental issues and Tech for Good
• You value the social and environmental impacts of what you build
