Responsibilities:

• Quality Manager is responsible for securing, controlling and improving the internal and external quality of

manufactured products from raw materials and equipment suppliers to the claims and guarantees, through

the production and assembly processes.

• Maintaining a quality system that allows continuous improvement and customer satisfaction with low costs

and high productivity by involving all staff of the plant maintaining certifications and process controls.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the necessary processes for the Quality System area established, implemented and maintained and

fostered a Culture of Continuous Improvement in the area.

• Reporting to the Plant Manager and the performance Management team quality system and any need for

improvement.

• Ensure awareness of customer requirements at all organizational levels of American Standard.
• Oversee the updating and generation of procedures according to changes
• Oversee the monitoring of internal audits to ensure the quality of processes and maintenance of the Quality

Management. Including Product audits, ECNs follow up to make sure they accomplish quality standard.

• Review and update the audit criteria
• Collect and analyze information, samples and field returns.
• Ensuring the effectiveness of Quality Management System.
• Check documents Quality Managements System.
• Functional testing of finished product, FMEA´s, control plans and risk analysis of changes or improvements in

materials, processes, new products, production design, engineering and any changes that affect product

quality.

• Perform calibration of machines, cubicles and measurement tool, monitoring additional calibration work with

external suppliers.

• Release of new products, processes, lines, change packaging or new packaging, PPAP´s
• Root-cause analysis and defect through 8 Disciplines.
• Development of error-proof devices (Poka Yoke).
• Administration of the budget allocated to the management, control and monitoring of expenditure.
• Follow up on objectives and work plan by staff.
• Ensuring the training and development of their staff

• Ensure that persons under their responsibility are trained in procedures and policies of quality, safety, health

and environment as well as the necessary resources to prevent harm to people, equipment, materials, facilities

and environment.

• Active participation in identifying quality improvement opportunities, and also in the corrective and preventive

actions. Implement the Quality policy.

• Ensure implementation and monitoring processes of the area for EHS risk control, as well as attend meetings

to review results in Security Management as well as participating in audits of flat and research and analysis

accidents and lost time from your area, and the assessment of safety performance of their departed securing a

sustainable operation under Mexican law enforcement on security matters, health and environment.

• Issue, update of change the quality system documents.
• Accept / reject critical equipment, materials, methods, procedures, visual aids, operating instructions and any

activity or cause that affects product quality.

• Accept and / or reject claims in the field.

Qualifications:

Education: Preferred Engineering specialization in Quality Systems

Knowledge:

• 5 years of Experience as Quality Leader
• Application and interpretation of ISO 9000 quality management systems, security

systems, six sigma methodology, FMEA´s, control plans, GRR, APQP (advanced quality planning )), Metrology, SPC, MSA, PPAP´s,

interpretation of plans, methodology of analysis and troubleshooting, audits desirable.

• English, capable of establishing fluid conversations and written business communication.
