About Arvanza

Arvanza is an Amazon marketing agency trusted by brands to drive profitable growth through strategic account management, cutting-edge PPC execution, and operational excellence. We manage a diverse portfolio of brands, from emerging sellers to established enterprises, leveraging both human expertise and advanced SaaS tools to outperform the competition in Amazon's ever-evolving ecosystem.

We're seeking an Amazon Inventory Strategist who architects supply chain systems, builds forecasting frameworks, and ensures brands never miss a sales opportunity due to inventory gaps. This is a role for someone who thinks beyond reorder points and focuses on building predictive, profitable inventory strategies that drive long-term operational excellence.

Role Overview

As our Amazon Inventory Strategist, you'll be the operational backbone behind our clients' marketplace success. You'll design comprehensive forecasting models, develop SOPs and frameworks that elevate team performance, optimize shipment strategies to maximize efficiency and minimize costs, and ensure brands maintain optimal inventory positions through peak seasons, product launches, and rapid growth phases.

You'll work cross-functionally with Managers, Operations Teams, and clients to create data-driven inventory strategies that balance aggressive sales growth with capital efficiency, while building the infrastructure that allows our team to scale seamlessly.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Inventory Architecture

  • Develop brand-specific inventory strategies that align with sales velocity, seasonality patterns, cash flow constraints, and growth objectives
  • Build comprehensive forecasting models for product launches, seasonal peaks (Q4, Prime Day, Lightning Deals), and promotional events
  • Design scalable inventory frameworks for both emerging brands (limited capital) and established enterprises (complex SKU portfolios)
  • Create proactive restock schedules that prevent stockouts while optimizing working capital and storage costs
  • Map out inventory positioning strategies across different fulfillment methods (FBA, FBM, AWD) based on product characteristics and business goals

Forecasting & Demand Planning

  • Build predictive forecasting models using historical sales data, advertising spend, seasonality trends, and promotional calendars
  • Develop Q4 and peak season inventory plans days in advance, accounting for lead times, production cycles, and Amazon capacity constraints
  • Monitor real-time sales performance and adjust forecasts dynamically to respond to velocity changes
  • Collaborate with advertising and brand management teams to forecast demand impact from campaigns, deals, and new product launches
  • Create scenario planning models for best-case, expected, and worst-case demand scenarios

Shipment Optimization & FBA Management

  • Design optimal shipment strategies that minimize inbound placement fees, storage costs, and transportation expenses
  • Manage shipment creation workflows, ensuring accurate labeling, case pack configurations, and compliance with Amazon requirements
  • Optimize shipment timing to balance inventory availability with storage fee cycles and peak season capacity restrictions
  • Coordinate with 3PLs, freight forwarders, and logistics partners to ensure on-time delivery and cost-efficient shipping
  • Monitor inbound shipment performance and resolve receiving delays, stranded inventory, and FBA issues proactively

Financial Analysis & P&L Optimization

  • Analyze brand P&L statements to understand the impact of FBA fees, storage costs, and inventory carrying costs on profitability
  • Calculate and track contribution margin by SKU to inform inventory prioritization and shipment decisions
  • Manage COGS data collection and updates, creating a feedback loop between finance, operations, and inventory planning
  • Identify and eliminate cost inefficiencies related to long-term storage fees, oversized product penalties, and excess inventory

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Managers to align inventory strategy with advertising campaigns, promotions, pricing changes, and catalog expansion plans
  • Conduct weekly and monthly cross-team account audits to identify inventory risks, optimization opportunities, and operational gaps
  • Collaborate with the advertising team to ensure sufficient inventory supports peak traffic periods and deal participation
  • Serve as the inventory and operations subject matter expert for internal teams and client strategy calls
  • Participate in client onboarding and quarterly business reviews to set inventory expectations and strategic direction

Analytics & Strategic Reporting

  • Conduct deep-dive analyses on inventory performance, sell-through rates, stockout impact, and forecast accuracy
  • Leverage inventory management tools and Amazon analytics to uncover hidden opportunities and optimization levers
  • Build predictive models for restock timing, seasonal demand patterns, and SKU lifecycle management
  • Deliver executive-level strategic recommendations backed by data, ROI projections, and operational insights
  • Translate complex inventory data into actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Requirements

  • Ability to overlap working hours by 5 hours a day (M-F) on MST Time zones
  • B2+ English level required
  • 3+ years of Amazon marketplace experience with demonstrated success managing inventory across Seller Central
  • 3+ years of inventory and operations management experience for DTC brands, preferably in e-commerce or omnichannel environments
  • 1+ years of Amazon agency or multi-brand experience required: you thrive managing diverse accounts with different sales velocities, budgets, and operational complexities
  • Proven track record forecasting and managing inventory through Q4, Prime Day, and other high-stakes peak seasons
  • Deep expertise in Amazon FBA operations: shipment workflows, inbound placement, storage fee structures, and inventory performance metrics
  • Hands-on experience with inventory management systems, demand planning tools, and Amazon reporting platforms
  • Highly organized and systems-driven: you build scalable processes that optimize workflows and eliminate inefficiencies

What We Value at Arvanza

  • Strategic Thinker:
You see the big picture and build systems, not just react to inventory alerts
  • Ownership Mentality:
You take full accountability for outcomes and drive results relentlessly
  • Proactive Problem Solver:
You anticipate challenges and act before stockouts or overstock situations escalate
  • Team Elevator:
You make everyone around you better through collaboration, teaching, and leadership
  • Continuous Learner:
You stay sharp on Amazon policy changes, new fulfillment options, and industry best practices
  • Positive & Professional:
You bring energy, reliability, and a collaborative spirit to a remote-first environment

Compensation

  • Competitive Salary Range
  • Eligibility for Sr Role after 6 months
  • US-based Holiday PTO
  • Local Holiday PTO
  • Bonuses tied directly to KPIs paid out twice per year
  • In-house training designed to rapidly accelerate your growth as an Amazon operator
