Finance Manager, LATAM Finance Team

Are you interested in helping shape Amazon's growth story in Mexico? We are looking for a high caliber finance professional who can develop drive our financial analysis and insights to the next level.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for building analytical models and using their financial and business acumen to help drive the business forward.

They will partner with commercial teams and support long-term growth by providing insightful ad-hoc analysis to build product selection, supporting negotiations, and building business cases to assess new opportunities or investments.

The successful candidate will be a self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity (A lot of it), is analytical, detail oriented and will possess the ability to work well with cross-functional teams across Amazon.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
• 5+ years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience
• 6+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
• 6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
• 6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
• 6+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
• Speak, write, and read fluently in English, and have the ability to take direction in English
• Bachelor's degree or certificate of completion of studies required plus at least 8 years of professional background

Preferred Qualifications

• 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
• 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
• Knowledge of SQL/ETL
• Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
• Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
