We are searching for the best talent for Senior New Product Integration Engineer II to be in Juarez, Chih.

Purpose

Designs, identifies, and monitors the new products and opportunities for the handling of the development phase of the projects. Interacts with marketing, engineering, and quality for the development of products and highlights the existing products. In this position, there are various functions, he/she will relate and keep relations with research, development, manufacturing, and product quality. Generates solutions independently and exercises his/her judgment in generally defined practices and policies, at choosing methods and techniques for obtaining results. Can provide technical guidance and assist other engineers.

You will be responsible for:

Under limited supervision and in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position:

• Tries to solve design problems related to the characteristics of the material, dimension tolerance, manufacturing processes and cost reduction.
• Assists technicians and engineers regarding unusual problems.
• Responsible for purchasing and designing equipment that meets safety and environment requirements.
• Performs process/product validation activities.
• Is responsible for providing support to several production lines.
• Complies with the Quality Procedures and Laws and Regulations of the applicable markets.
• Provides support in the creation and modification of metrics and reporting tools for the productivity of the team.
• Participates or facilitates studies for: Failure Modes Effects Criticality Analysis (FMECA) with the engineering group, maintenance, and manufacturing.
• Uses advanced design software such as: Autocad, Pro-E, or Solidworks. Effective development and design concepts.
• Actively takes the initiative to recognize improvement areas in the existing products for costs reduction.
• Relates and works closely with other departments in order to improve the existing products and processes.
• Develops and executes product development plans and programs in short and long term.
• Ensures the necessary drawings, specifications and tests that are properly documented through the product development cycle.
• Complies with the regulations of the company, local, state, and federal, as well as with the procedures and policies regarding Safety and Hygiene, Health, and Environment.
• Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level
• Responsible for ensuring subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition
• Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Performs other duties assigned as needed

Qualifications / Requirements:

• BS degree in relevant discipline; or
• MS in relevant discipline and 3 or more years of related engineering experience; or
• Experience in the medical device industry would be an asset.
• Six Sigma knowledge is a plus.
• 2 to 4 years of experience and training; or combination equivalent to education and experience.
• Candidate should be considered if he/she has significant experience in design and fabrication of tools
• Ability to work with tool design processes from the model to the assigned specifications.
• Ability to work with various design engineers and fabrication of several work tools.
• Knowledge and ability for the use of different Autocad systems software.
• Knowledge and ability to interpret Geometric Tolerances (GDT).
• Knowledge of purchasing system and communication with raw material suppliers.
• Knowledge of GMP system and other regulation requirements.
• Knowledge of logic controls, relays and counters programming system.
• Ability for the use of computers and software related to his/her activity.
• Good leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of Six Sigma and to be familiarized with Process Excellence.
• Statistics Techniques, Experiment Design (DOE), control Graphs and Capacity Studies.
• Excellent oral and written skills in Spanish and English.
• Green Belt Certification is a plus..
