Remote Mexico Evernest Holdings A tiempo completo

Senior Maintenance Coordinator (Virtual/Remote)
at Evernest

COMPANY OVERVIEW

Evernest is a full-service real estate and property management company with a national presence and an outstanding reputation. We operate in 50+ U.S. markets and manage over 19,000 homes. As one of the largest single-family and small multi-family property management and brokerage companies in the country, Evernest is on a mission to manage 250,000 homes by 2030.

Our Property Services team plays a vital role in delivering high-quality maintenance and repair outcomes for our clients and residents. We combine local expertise, strong systems, and a culture of excellence to provide efficient, transparent, and cost-effective maintenance operations nationwide.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Senior Maintenance Coordinator is a key player in Evernest's maintenance operations. This role requires strong decision-making ability, technical understanding, and ownership of complex repair and maintenance workflows.

You'll manage 100+ active work orders at a time, balancing cost, quality, and speed across multiple markets. You'll work with vendors, internal technicians, and property managers to ensure every issue is resolved quickly, accurately, and with exceptional service.

This is not an entry-level role. The ideal candidate has extensive SFR (single-family rental) maintenance experience, can think critically under pressure, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.

COMPETENCIES & REQUIREMENTS

Key Responsibilities:

Own the Maintenance Workflow
  • Manage 100+ active work orders at once, prioritizing tasks and resources for maximum efficiency.
  • Coordinate with internal technicians and vendors to ensure timely and high-quality completion of repairs.
  • Review estimates for accuracy, scope, and alignment with owner expectations and Evernest standards.

Drive Results and Quality
  • Balance cost to owner, repair speed, and quality of work to achieve the best possible outcome.
  • Proactively identify issues or delays and take ownership of resolving them.
  • Uphold a high bar for excellence in every aspect of execution — communication, accuracy, and follow-through.
Vendor and Technician Management
  • Hold vendors accountable to pricing, timelines, and workmanship standards.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships to ensure reliability and consistency.
  • Partner with in-house technicians to optimize schedules, utilization, and communication.
Continuous Improvement
  • Analyze maintenance data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities to improve processes.
  • Collaborate with leadership to strengthen systems, SOPs, and reporting standards.
  • Support new team members through training and sharing best practices.

Core Competencies
  • 3–5+ years of experience in property maintenance or SFR operations (vendor management, work order coordination, estimate review)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume workloads (100+ open work orders) with accuracy and urgency
  • Strong understanding of residential systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, general maintenance) and repair processes
  • Proven success in balancing speed, quality, and cost to deliver excellent results
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both internal teams and external vendors
  • Proficiency in property management or maintenance software (e.g., Property Meld, AppFolio, Buildium, Service Fusion, etc.)
  • Comfort with data, reporting tools, and technology for tracking performance and prioritization

Soft Skills & Core Traits:
  • Root-Cause Problem Solving – Digs beyond surface issues to identify underlying process or training gaps
  • Data-Informed Judgment – Uses information to make balanced, timely decisions
  • Prioritization Under Pressure – Can quickly determine what matters most when everything feels urgent
  • Decision-Making Confidence – Balances speed with quality and acts decisively with incomplete information
  • Clear and Concise Communication – Explains complex issues simply to non-technical audiences
  • Adaptability – Thrives amid change, new technology, and evolving priorities
  • Ownership Mentality – Treats the business as their own—takes full responsibility for outcomes

Minimum Requirements to join our team:
  • Minimum 256GB of storage and 8GB of RAM; Processor: Core i5 or higher (Preferably laptop).
  • Fast Internet: minimum download and upload speed of 50 Mbps (live speed tests will be conducted).
