DevOps Engineer (GCP) – Contractor | Hybrid – Santa Fe, Mexico

Location: Santa Fe, Mexico (Hybrid: onsite + home office)

Type: Contractor

Language: Fully bilingual English & Spanish (Technical English required)

Role Overview

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer (4–5 years of experience) to join our engineering team as a contractor. This role is hybrid in Santa Fe, requiring several days onsite per week. You will be responsible for building, supporting, and maintaining production and non-production environments on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), working closely with local stakeholders and offshore teams.

Key Responsibilities

Design, provision, and manage GCP environments (Prod, UAT, QA, Dev)

Support new environment creation and ongoing enhancements

Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform

Configure and manage CI/CD pipelines for deployments and promotions

Monitor system health, performance, and availability using GCP tools

Troubleshoot environment issues and coordinate with offshore teams

Enforce security best practices, IAM roles, networking, and compliance

Support release management and production deployments

Participate in on-call / production support when required

Document architecture, SOPs, and operational runbooks

Required Skills & Experience

4–5 years of experience in DevOps / Cloud Engineering

Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Storage, VPC, IAM

Terraform or other IaC tools

CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, etc.)

Docker & Kubernetes (GKE)

Linux administration & scripting (Bash/Shell)

Experience supporting production environments

Fluent English & Spanish (spoken and written)

Nice to Have

Monitoring tools (Cloud Monitoring, Prometheus, Grafana)

Security scanning & compliance experience

Multi-region or high-availability architectures

GCP Certification (Associate or Professional)

Soft Skills

Strong communication skills in English & Spanish

Comfortable working onsite with business & technical teams

Ownership mindset and proactive problem solver
