You Are:

As a self-starter and key member of the application development team, you will design and own test plans to ensure complete functionality testing based on requirement documents, design specifications, and problem reports.

The opportunity:

• Analyze actuarial business processes, systems, data, and workflows to design, model, and implement automated test cases using frameworks and tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Java, Groovy, Gradle, Cucumber, IntelliJ, GIT, and Postman.

• Lead Scrum team meetings with architects, developers, and analysts to define system requirements and goals; actively participate in Sprint Planning and Retrospectives using MS Office, MS Test Manager, and Team Foundation Server (TFS).

• Validate system implementations against requirements through automation and tracking of detailed data testing strategies; troubleshoot issues by verifying logs and querying Oracle and HDFS databases using TOAD, SQL Developer, and Putty.

• Ensure proper test coverage of user stories in Agile sprints by reviewing deployment plans, creating dashboards for automation jobs, and releasing deployment builds using Jenkins.

• Execute detailed data validation testing plans, test suites, and scripts for all levels of testing (unit, functional, integration, regression) using TFS Test Manager and Beyond Compare-4.

What you need:

• Education and Experience

• Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.

• 5-8 years of experience designing and developing reusable testing automation components.

• 5+ years of experience in high-volume, high-complexity data systems analysis and validation.

• Solid experience with automated functional testing tools.

• Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to make recommendations.

• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.

• Preferred:

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics.

• Insurance/Financial industry knowledge.

• LOMA certification.

• Hands-on experience with:

• Microsoft TFS, Visual Studio, Test Manager, IntelliJ IDEA, Selenium, GIT, Java, Groovy, Geb, TOAD for Oracle, Jenkins, Cucumber, Postman, Beyond Compare-4, Excel Pivot Tables, Cloudera, Spark, Scala, Oozie

• Workflow, Hive, Vertica.

Benefits
