Team Member Roles & Responsibilities

Quality:

  • Incoming/receiving at supplier: verify CoC/mill/COO, lot IDs, labeling, packaging, AQL sampling.
  • Set incoming inspection plans (AQL), sampling, and special characteristics
  • Handle nonconformances: containment, SCARs, 8D/root cause, corrective/preventive actions
  • In‑process audits: line walk, workstation checks, control plan adherence, work instructions, SPC charts, reaction plans.
  • Approve engineering changes/PCNs; oversee revalidation and change
  • QA documentation review and constant improvements
  • First Article/FAI: dimensional/functional checks vs drawings, material certs, photo evidence.

Procurement:

  • Supplier discovery via directories, referrals, etc
  • RFI/RFQ/RFP development and competitive bidding
  • Should‑cost modeling and TCO analysis (incl. logistics, duties, taxes)
  • Benchmarking price, lead time, and quality vs. incumbents
  • Dual‑sourcing and risk‑balanced allocation strategy
  • Nearshoring/reshoring feasibility assessment
  • Supplier pre‑qualification (financial, capacity, capability, certifications)

Knowledge / Education:

·      Quality Engineer

· years' experience as Planner / Buyer

·       Negotiation course or related work experience

·       Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel, must

·       Bilingual - Fluent in both English/Spanish

·       Experience with Procurement.

Ability to:

·       Communicate effectively both orally and in writing;

·       Be highly organized, maintain records and prepare reports;

·       Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
